Start with the document requirement

Before arranging a pickup, confirm whether the document only needs to be collected and photographed, delivered to another Jamaican address, or prepared for a separate international shipping step. Those are different services and should not be treated as one automatic process.

If a government office, lawyer, bank, school, or employer has given instructions, follow that organization’s requirements for signatures, identification, authorization, envelopes, and deadlines.

What to include in the courier request

Give the runner a clear description without sharing unnecessary sensitive content. The pickup contact should know that the document will be collected, and the recipient should know what proof or next step is expected.

  • Pickup name, address, phone contact, and operating hours
  • Delivery or handoff destination and recipient details
  • Whether the document is sealed, fragile, confidential, or oversized
  • Any authorization, ID, signature, or collection reference required
  • Deadline and preferred delivery speed
  • Whether you need a completion note, photo, or signed acknowledgement

Protect the signed document in transit

Ask the pickup contact to place the document in a suitable envelope or folder and label it clearly. Avoid folding, opening, scanning, or photographing the contents unless the owner or receiving organization has authorized that step.

A courier should be given only the information needed to identify the item and complete the authorized handoff. Passwords, banking credentials, and unrelated personal information should never be included in delivery instructions.

Know what happens if the handoff fails

If the recipient is unavailable, the address is incomplete, or the document cannot be accepted, the runner should pause and request direction. A return trip, alternate recipient, or additional delivery may require a revised quote.

YaadRunner provides courier-style local support and field updates. It does not provide notarization, legal advice, document interpretation, international freight forwarding, or official certification that a signature is valid.
